This is our final product. This is a very colourful poster about the fun of Creative Multimedia. We chose the fun fair theme to show the fun. Multimedia such as photography, videography, blogging, social networking painting, drawing and so on is clearly included in this poster. We are concluding that creative multimedia is everywhere we are. Its fun to play and explore on these multimedia.

How Creative Multimedia is fun?

Do you know what does the word “creative” and “multimedia” supposed to mean? Well creative is the ability to generate innovative ideas and manifest them from thought into reality. The process involves original thinking and then producing. Meanwhile multimedia is media and content that uses a combination of different content forms. It includes a combination of text, audio, still images, animation, video, and interactivity content forms. Therefore, combinations of innovative ideas and latest technologies of media create a magic called creative multimedia. As we know the whole process of generating new ideas and bringing them into reality is something interesting and fun. So how is it fun? Creative Multimedia serves a variety of purposes ranging from fine arts, to entertainment, to commercial art, to media and software services provided in any spectrum of career. Creative Multimedia not only includes good and well-established creative skills but also a social aspect in life we are known as to as fun.

Creative Multimedia is challenging and hence, competing with one another is fun and challenges each and every creative talents are the essence to the whole fun of it. Such challenge and different thinking skills allows us to change our mindset and the ability to modify the art and looks of a particular abstract figure. This gives us a well-prepared mindset on how we view the world. Changing and modifying the style and art of an abstract allows us to think out of the box and this brings about many wide possibilities to our career prospects and better recognition in our field. With all this, we will be mentally disciplined in our daily life.Another aspect that make creative multimedia fun is because of the activities. Firstly, the main activities make creative multimedia fun is a study trip. This helps students to travel all over the places to help them complete their tasks and assignments. Not only that, it helps students to gain knowledge and experience. Apart from that, it will also build their confidence level and their mentality to work in a group and make new friends. Without doubt, it will help them to exchange ideas and come up with a good final product. Secondly, activities like paintings, murals and drawing makes creative multimedia more exciting. Students with the interest in art can improve their artwork and bring their interest or passion into a new level. Lastly, outdoor activities play a vital part in making creative multimedia fun. Students prefer to work outdoor rather than studying and learning in a room. These activities not only help them to gain new experience but also prepare them mentally and physically to face the challenging world in future.

Creative Multimedia is also known as relaxing. It does not stress us like other fields. Fields like Engineering and Information Technology will only give us headache and stress because it has too much of facts and technical stuffs to memorize and understand. But, in comparison creative multimedia gives us peace of mind and creates a lot of fun. This is because this field has lots of painting, designing and drawing work. As proven in various researches, drawings and paintings are one of the best ways to relax our mind. Therefore, creative multimedia is a distressing career. Besides that, creative multimedia has no restriction or limitation in doing things. For an example, mathematics has certain formula to solve an equation but creative multimedia does not have those limitations and creates a lot of fun. As a designer, we can create new designs and are encouraged to set our own style in design. There are no rules in creating a design in creative multimedia. Apart from that, creative multimedia does not consume much book knowledge. We do not get ideas or knowledge from books. Books are only act as references. Other than that, book does not play a major role in creative multimedia. In creative multimedia we create new things, we don’t follow the books.

Next reason why creative multimedia is fun is that it’s very colourful. The word creative itself usually will be described as colourful as rainbow. Every single image that are created or every single word that we write, we need to use colours to resemble it. Furthermore creative multimedia is also colourful since almost every activity that occurs in the creative world would be involving colours. Design wise, colours make the final artwork more attractive. Hence for sure they would love to have fun with colours. Our product will be more attractive and complete when suitable colours used. Apart from main sources of colours, artificial colours also have been used. Artificial colours are magic pen, marker pen, colour pencils, poster colours and crayon. Even the kindergarten kids and primary school students fond to use colours for simple sketches just for their fun.

The final factor that makes Creative Multimedia fun to learn, is the interest that we are having in designing and learning something creative. The childhood interest a child having towards designing provoke her to get involve in Creative Multimedia field in the future. For example, drawings and paintings are activities that does not bore children. These are their favorites hobbies to express their feelings and love towards someone. Those who really experienced the benefits of art in their childhood would execute their talent in the future as well to release stress. The interest in Creative Multimedia can also be developed through observation. Observation skill is very essential for a person to exceed in her life. For an illustration, cartoon companies like Disney plays a very important role. Through observing these cartoons, we can collect a lot of information and ideas for designing books, movies and also other media. Playing games also gives design knowledge and interest in Creative Multimedia. Experiencing the 3D animated games provoke us to explore more on this Creative Multimedia field as it attracts a lot of people’s attention to gaming industry. Other than that, we also have environmental surrounding as a sub-factor. Multimedia based surrounding is highly encouraged for a Creative Multimedia student for her to feel like a designer student. This environment gives them a secured and comfort situation for them to design a media. Most importantly, this environment gives them an interest in Creative Multimedia career field.

Everything that done without fun is something that is not committed and it’s not something straight from the heart. Fun is creative multimedia is also the same, it has no limitation and end. Every time we explore something new, it creates a new experience and fun for us. When we have fun and enjoy the things that we do, without any doubt it will be something really successful and satisfying. As human we expect everything that we do, has fun in it, so without doubt social media provides all the fun that we need and helps us to connect with all the people around us in glimpse of seconds.

Juxtaposition 2....

This picture shows juxtaposition. The colour difference between the outfits shows juxtaposition. The dull colours in the background gives emphasis to the blue outfit in front. And also the white hat has it function as juxtaposition in the image.
This picture also shows juxtaposition. The black and white background is a total contrast to the dog. The background gives an important and emphasis to the lying dog.

What is juxtaposition? According to the lecture by Mr.Mustafa, Juxtaposition (literary), synonymous with contrast, two objects or texts that oppose one another. Random juxtaposition, two random objects moving in parallel, a technique intended to stimulate creativity. In art, juxtaposition usually is done with the intention of bringing out a specific quality or creating an effect, particularly when two contrasting or opposing elements are used. The viewer's attention is drawn to the similarities or differences between the elements.

Mr. Radzi Bedu taught us about mind maps this week. He showed us so many examples of mind mapping. These are the few mind mappings that I found in Internet. I think these are really creative and its full of images to present ideas.

Method of creative thinking 2....

By doing this mind mapping, I actually realised more about myself. I took my own time to think about what I actually like and dislike in my life. By doing this, now I know what I should avoid in the future. Talking about the experiences of doing this digital mind map, I took more than five hours to do this simple mind mapping because as I said it took quite a while to get to know myself deeply. Another thing I realised, due to the assignment stress, I wasnt rewarding myself properly because it has been ages since I went to waterfall and enjoyed sunset.

Method of creative thinking....

From my own understanding, mind mapping is a tool that we use to jot down all our minor ideas and thinkings to produce a major and better one. Mind mapping can be done in many creative ways. Sometimes, the mind mapping will be only useful to those who created it since its all their own ideas and thoughts. But a creative and effective mind mapping should stimulate and create the readers' interest to explore more on the subject matter.

There are two method of creative thinkings; logical mind map and associated mind map. Logical mind mapping is comprises of stereotypes words. Stereotype simply means a characteristic that applied for a whole group of person.Stereotypes can be true or wrong. For example, all nurses are kind and patience whereas not all nurses are kind and patience in our country.Associated mind mapping uses general random words that have no connection between the links of words.

Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention 2...

This USB Flash Disk is designed as a keychain. This creation shows novelty since it has a different and new look compared to normal flash disk.( normal rectangle shape ) It has a very romantic reddish heart shape. It also shows innovation. The designer has improved the appearance and the purpose. Now its not only a flash disk but also a useful keychain. Creativity can be clearly seen in this design because this creation is not only unique and special but also it has its value as a flash disk and a keychain.

Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention...

Creativity is the process of generating something new that has value. Being a creative multimedia student, I realize it is my duty to produce something creative but yet valuable. The perception of something as being new by a group of persons is known as novelty whereas innovation is the process of making improvements by using new and creative ideas. Novelty, creativity, and innovation must be fully utilized before presenting an idea. This ensure that we satisfy our customer even better. Every creative person runs up against a mental block from time to time. Getting out of it can be a challenge, which is why it’s important to keep our creative ideas flowing without thinking facts.

Defining creativity...

As I walked into the class, the classroom was over-flooding with students. My mind was keep wondering how this subject is going to be. Hard or easy? But the subject's name itself was attractive for me. As i settled down myself, the lecture began. The lecturer presented the lecture. It was about creativity. "Defining creativity'' that was the lesson's title that week. I learnt about the myths that have been created about creativity. Creativity is not hard. What is hard then? Why for some people designing is easy and for some its very difficult? Its because few groups of people does not take the initiative to develop their ability in creating something in a unique way. Besides that, I also learnt the three reasons why people are motivated to be creative.
1.need for novel, varied, and complex stimulation
2.need to communicate ideas and values
3.need to solve problems

In my opinion, creativity is very important in communicating ideas. Besides that, a creative solution is always needed to solve a very serious problem.
Personally, I would love to see more pictures and images that portray creativity as I believe my mind learn more from visuals than texts. And more visuals would have make the slides more interesting

This is my friend, Vithiyah. I designed her face into a table lamp's shed. I add in some details in her pictures to show Hawaiian elements such as the orchid. I also add in some texture on the shed to make it more realistic.

I found this website quite outstanding with all these thinking methods. Instead of using the common out-of-the-box thinking method, this website introduces us to several different thinking methods to produce creative outcomes. The methods are In-the-Box, New-Box, Other-Box, No-Box Thinking. I find this website interesting because I like their approach to think differently. Introduction to Creative Studies...

That was the first week of the subject. The classroom was over-flooding with students,new faces and old ones. Almost all the lecturers who attended the lecture session was my previous lecturers in aplha year. Mr.Yap Sau Bin began the class. He introduced to us the objective of the subject. He also define the meaning of Creative and Creativity. Mr.Sau Bin gave us a lot of tips and information about creativity. The lecture session was about one and a forty-five minutes.

I learnt that there are no obstacles exist in the world for someone to become creative. He/she just have to find the opportunity to be one. As Dorye Roettger has said once that "There are no problems - only opportunities to be creative.''

I expect to see a powerpoint slide with more visuals compared to texts as a lot of texts is making my mind tired during the lectures. I think slides with more related visuals will attract students' attention in class.

I would like to learn about how to develop our creativity skill.Knowing that everyone have their own creativity skill hidden inside them is good but I would like to know how to improve our skills in everyday life. thank you.
